It has been reported that Sweden has decided to extradite a person whom Turkey sought with a red notice for fraud.

According to the news of the country's state television SVT, it was stated that a 35-year-old person sought by Turkey with a red notice for fraud has decided to be extradited to Turkey.

Turkey asked Sweden to return some of the names to Turkey in return for saying "yes" to their application for NATO membership. The return decision taken today was a first in this process.

Evaluating the Supreme Court's decision, Swedish Minister of Justice and Interior Morgan Johansson said that this is a routine situation. "The Supreme Court has reviewed the situation as usual and has determined that there is no obstacle to extradition," Johansson said.

It has been noted that the person who has been living in Sweden since 2011 and has applied for asylum during this period is sentenced to 14 years in prison in Turkey for fraud.
